ETHOS Bertolina offers an intensive 8-week recovery program for individuals living with Fibromyalgia, based on the pioneering work of Dr. Shai Efrati and emerging research in neuroplasticity, pain modulation, and regenerative medicine.
The program is centered on Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT), delivered five days per week in 120-minute sessions. Clinical studies have shown that HBOT may reduce chronic pain, improve cognitive function, enhance sleep quality, and increase energy levels in people with Fibromyalgia. Research suggests these benefits are linked to improved brain metabolism, reduced neuroinflammation, enhanced mitochondrial function, and the promotion of neuroplasticity, helping to address underlying mechanisms associated with chronic pain and fatigue.
To enhance outcomes, HBOT is combined with Hyperoxic-Hypoxic Paradox (HHP) and a scientific cognitive stimulation device designed to support memory, attention, mental clarity, and overall brain performance during periods of increased neuroplasticity.
The program also incorporates the Hippocrates “Food as Medicine” philosophy, providing guidance on anti-inflammatory nutrition, metabolic health, restorative sleep, stress management, and lifestyle habits that support long-term wellbeing.
Participants commonly report reductions in widespread pain, fatigue, brain fog, sleep disturbances, and sensory sensitivity. Many experience improved energy, better concentration, enhanced mood, increased physical function, and a greater ability to participate in daily activities.
The program includes accommodation with breakfast at ETHOS Bertolina. Lunch and dinner are not included, allowing guests to enjoy the many nearby restaurants while following personalized nutritional recommendations.
Designed as a science-based, multidisciplinary recovery experience, the program aims to help individuals regain comfort, resilience, function, and quality of life.
